WORKSHOP

The Bike Mechanic offers a bike repair, restore, maintenance and build service which can be tailored to suit the needs of the customer. However, typical services include:

Standard Service:

• Bike set-up to fit rider
• Check and adjust brakes
• Check and adjust gears
• Check tyre pressures and tread wear
• Adjust headset
• Check for chain and drivetrain wear
• Lubrication of drivechain (chain, gears and associated components)
• Check torque of bike components
• Diagnostics check and advice on any further work required

Premium Service:

• Comprises Standard Service plus:
• Complete strip down, clean and re-greasing of components
• Complete check on all components
• Brake service, including inner and outer casing change (cost of cables included)
• Gear cable change and re-tune (cost of cables included)
• Wheels tensioned and trued

The Premium Service does not include work on suspension forks or rear shocks but will include a diagnostics check on them, and customers will be advised on any work required and will be charged at relevant rate.


Other services include:

• Frame Preparation
• Bike setup
• Diagnostics and advice
• Parts replacement and fitting
• Complete bike builds
• Bicycle restore

Bikes must be clean before any work is carried out. An additional charge will be added for bike cleaning.

The cost of any parts required is not included in the service charges (unless otherwise specified). No parts will be replaced without the consent of the customer and the cost of parts and fitting will be advised before the work is carried out.
